Gayil NALLS Painting "Transformation"  "Transformation" by New York artist Gayil Nalls is signed & dated on the back: G. Nalls, 1981. This painting has very thick impasto. More photos are available via email. In recent shows, Nalls' work has grown more Conceptual. Interdisciplinary artist Nalls' "World Sensorium" was part of New York City's New Years Eve millennium celebration. Like Item # 501845, this paintings shows a dockside crowd--these two Garbell paintings make a good pair. After WWII, the artist exhibited at Galerie du Siecle, Galerie Delpierre, Galerie Art Vivant (Paris), David Findlay (New York) and Galerie Bettie Thommen (Basel). This work's provenance is Galerie Framond (Paris). Both Galerie Framond and Galerie Charpentier mounted retrospe ctives honoring the artist in 1970.   [501847]
