Of course, the more information we receive, the more precisely we can value the artwork. With a few pieces of information, our fine art researchers can provide a broad estimate of the current resale value of an artwork. With more specific information, the data provided will be more precise.
This simple appraisal or valuation is intended to give a reasonable estimate of the replacement value of the work as it is represented to us and also to estimate what price it might fetch at auction based on its description. If we can't provide substantive information about the current value of your artwork, your credit card will NOT be billed. Art valuations are undertaken on a "best-efforts" basis by Biddington's, a business that has been providing art services online since 1997. For most art collectors, the price estimate and appraisal information we provide is all they need to know to value their painting, sculpture or print.
Your request for appraisal information should include all available information and the painting, sculpture or print such as: artist's name, dates, subject matter, size of artwork, materials, condition and purchase information. Images are useful, of course, but not necessary. The valuation request form is encrypted, so it does not offer a place to attach images. In the event that Biddington's Art Valuation Service cannot provide substantive information, your credit card will NOT be charged. This determination is made at our sole discretion. Biddington's has been offering online art information services since 1997.
