Dead Pawn Navajo Jacla Necklace  This necklace is a late 20th century interpretation of the traditional heishi and jacla necklace. (The jacla were originally earrings tied through the pierced ear on strings.) On this necklace the jacla portion is 6" long. The materials for this necklace are turquoise, shell, jet and a red stone which is not coral--perhaps carnelian; it is strung on cotton. The craftsmanship is exceptionally fine.
