Navajo dead pawn jacla necklace

Description: This Navajo necklace is a late 20th century interpretation of the traditional heishi and jacla necklace. (The jacla were originally earrings tied through the pierced ear on strings.) On this necklace the jacla portion is 6" long. The materials for this necklace are turquoise, shell, jet and a red stone which is not coral--probably carnelian; it is strung on cotton. The craftsmanship is exceptionally fine in this strikingly handsome necklace. This dead pawn necklace has the pawn ticket still attached.
