Description: This painting is no longer available.
Contemporary realist painter Patricia Hansen is a keen observer of nature, and she effectively responds to and records the look and presence of animals. Here she turns her attention to three black crows alertly perched on a limb. This small painting on linen entitled "Crow Gang" is witness to Hansen's brilliant technical ability--not to mention her rather unexpected selection of subject matter.
San Francisco Chronicle art critic Kenneth Baker wrote: "What makes Patricia Hansen a realist, more than just a fine representational painter, is that her paintings are a lesson in seeing." Patricia Hansen, born in Georgia, is represented in collections including: Coca Cola, HBO, American Express, CIT Corporation, New Orleans Museum of Fine Art and Tulane University.
