Description:
In a series of highly worked paintings on panel that began in the late 1990's, abstract painter Nancy Van Deren explored ovid forms--the shapes of nature in the landscape. More recently Van Deren has employed some of those same forms much more loosely in her work with unique prints. This one-of-a-kind image includes printing (the brownish lines) and painting (the smears of color) as well as the embossed edge made by the printing plate. View detail. This monoprint entitled "New Moon" is presented matted. To learn more about the artist, see Nancy Van Deren studio visit. View more works by Nancy Van Deren.
