Description: In her "Shimmering World" series made with metallic paints on paper, Diane Churchill reveals the influence of the opulent colors and textures of the Near East on her personal aesthetic. As late as 1999, Diane Churchill's work still gave a nod to the representational; by 2001, her painting had grown increasingly abstract with her first "Shimmering World" works in red and gold. This silvery painting from 2005 entitled "Blue Thought" continues Diane Churchill's exploration of seductive, reflective color punctuated with bold calligraphic elements. This work is unframed.
Framing for this painting is available upon request for an additional $150. If desired, please note it on the checkout form, and a representative will contact you regarding the framing options and timetable. Visit Diane Churchill's studio. View more Diane Churchill paintings offered for sale. |
