Description: While her images are abstract, printmaker Betty Winkler uses specific natural world references as a point of departure. Her "Butterfly" series of unique, (i.e. one of a kind), prints is influenced by the colors and light refractions of tropical butterflies.

In this jewel of a monoprint, Winkler captures the elusive shimmer of a butterfly wing by skillfully layering veils of oil-based printing ink and iridescent powder on richly black Hahnemühle paper.This print is shipped unframed.
