Description:
In his 2004-2005 series of paintings, painter and film director Todd Bellanca uses more gestural strokes than in his prior works where a geometric crispness prevailed. In "Still Love Dancing in the Attic", a touch of Franz Kline seems to be entering Bellanca's poetic and cinematic vision. The surface of this painting has a seductive quality; it possesses a tactile as well as visual allure.
