Description: In her "Animal Dances" series of figurative bronze sculpture, Carol Bruns shows humans in the postures and attitudes of creatures from the animal kingdom. In this sculptural pair, "Lobster" (the female figure) and "Elephant" (the male figure) relate to one another in an earthward focused dance. The patina on these figures is a smooth, softly polished golden brown. "Lobster" measures 8 inches high and "Elephant" 9 inches. If desired, each figure is available independently at $2,650 each--but it seems a shame to separate them. For more information about this sculptor and her working process, visit Carol Bruns studio in Dumbo (Brooklyn).
Many sculptures by Carol Bruns can be cast in larger scale. Custom casting prices are available upon request. See Carol Bruns in the April 2003 issue of Architectural Digest. View more Carol Bruns bronze sculpture.
