Description:
"Moon Stone Profile" is a small scale bronze by Annemarie Slipper--a Canadian-born sculptor working in Mexico. Slipper's work is figurative; appealing minor deities are often her subjects. This bronze, which is shaped rather like a flattened balloon, is produced in an edition of 24 . For a metal sculpture, this work has a surprisingly buoyant feel. This appealing and tactile form is suitable either as a garden sculpture or as an interior artwork. The bronze's patina is pale greenish overall with variations; its closed back has a flattened area that allows the sculpture to rest without wobbliing.
