Description: Contemporary sculptor Richard Heinrich finds strong structural parallels between art and music. The title "Off Minor" refers to a piece by jazz great Thelonious Monk. Like most of Richard Heinrich's welded steel sculpture, "Off Minor" is a tightly organized composition of intersecting planes and internal rhythms. This monumental scale sculpture is currently exhibited at Purdue University. The scale of this artwork makes it suitable for an important exterior site. Biddington's offers resources for help in siting, as well as transporting, this large sculpture.
Sculptures by Richard Heinrich are on view in the collections of Grounds for Sculpture (Hamilton, NJ) and The Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). Richard Heinrich is also represented in collections including: Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, PepsiCo, General Electric, Chemical Bank and American Express.
