Description: "Dancing Angel with Companion" is an editioned bronze sculpture pair by Annemarie Slipper--a Canadian-born sculptor who now lives in Mexico. Slipper's series of angel figures--some in ceramic and some in bronze--is more lyrcal (and less caustic) than her witty depictions of human personnages. The Companion figure brings to mind those wonderful images of the kneeling donors at the base of Italian Renaissance paintings.
