Description: Early in his career, non-objective painter James Burnett spent time in Mexico learning watercolor painting techniques. Now, when traveling, the artist takes a break from abstraction and returns to this medium and to representational painting. This view of Vieques, Puerto Rico was painted while visiting friends on that lovely island and shows how completely Burnett understands the perception of space and landscape.
