Description: "Le Baron", an original print by kinetic sculptor Rein Triefeldt, is a work inspired by the witty and amusing character from Cirque du Soleil. Based on a gouache, the edition size is 250 hand-signed and numbered prints made with archival quality ink.
Rein Triefeldt's kinetic bronzes reside in public, corporate and private collections in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands and Hong Kong. A Triefeldt "Chaotic Pendulum" is on view at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and a Triefeldt "Flyer" sculpture was featured at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Two works by Rein Triefeldt appeared in the 2003 Dutch Biennial of kinetic sculpture. The December 2003 issue of the magazine "Sculpture" discusses Rein Triefeldt's work--especially the artist's recent forays into the world of large-scale solar kinetic sculpture.
