NATIVE AMERICAN SILVER JEWELRY

Turquoise Vintage Squash Necklace

Description: SOLD. This is a bold vintage Native American squash blossom necklace dating from around 1970. It is Navajo in origin and traditional in design. The naja (pendant) is set with 46 turquoise stones; and the twelve 1.5" blossoms are set with 10 stones each. At 30" long + the naja, this squash blossom is substantial in scale. The color is an attractive deep shade of turquoise. View more detailed images. This beautiful necklace would make a lovely gift, or a juicy self-indulgence. Since serious collectors prefer it, we ship all Native American jewelry leaving the silver with its original patina; it can easily be brought to a high polish with a silvercloth. Given the deep color of the turquoise, a bright shine may be suitable for this necklace.
