Description:
Two features make this a special example of the Zuni sun-god inlay work: 1) the stones are slightly convex so that the piece has a sculptural surface and 2) in the paler areas, where one usually sees white shell, this pin/pendant uses gold-lipped oyster shell. The luminous golden shell makes this piece exceptionally elegant. Also, it combines nicely with gold rings and with golden hardware on handbags or shoes. This size is suitable for using as an accent pin, or hanging from a chain or collar (neither included). The item will be shipped with the slight patina of age; if a high sheen is desired, it will polish easily with a silvercloth. | |
