Description: Expressive realist printmaker and painter Sigmund Abeles captures expressions and unguarded moments--whether his own or others'. This image was made during a print workshop at the University of Arizona, Tempe. Entitled "Self Portrait with Glasses and Model, Arizona", it is listed in the catalogue of the retrospective of Sigmund Abeles prints at Bates College Museum of Art in 1999. In the catalogue essay, director Genetta McLean notes: "By the late 1970's Abeles had achieved national acclaim as a printmaker." This signed and numbered lithograph is from an edition of 50: 30 with Arabic numerals and 20 with Roman numerals.
