Description: With the tragedy of 9/11 a new element was introduced into the traditional iconic scene of the abundant harvest. This watercolor enhanced linoleum cut print by noted editorial illustrator Richard Mock (1944-2006) is entitled "New American Still Life".
Richard Mock was also a fine painter and a skilled colorist. Since it is hand-colored by the artist, this linocut is referred to as a "variable edition print". This artwork appeared in the 2003 remake of the movie "The Manchurian Candidate".
Richard Mock is represented in important collections including: Museum of Modern Art, New York Public Library, Walker Art Center and National Museum of American Art.
