Description: Sculptor Janet Goldner's "Sticks & Stones" series deals with the power of words. For this series, the artist made cut-out tablets, called "Basics", with words that represent touchstones of life. In Goldner's skilled hands, light gauge steel takes on a silken quality. This sculpture is meant to hang indoors suspended from the ceiling by filaments.
Janet Goldner's art reflecting a belief in human dignity and the value of cultural diversity has been reviewed by publications including "The New York Times" and "Sculpture Magazine", and it is represented in public collections including: Islip Museum (New York) and Parkas Europos (Lithuania).
