Tom DUNCAN Sculpture "...Bomb Shelter"
Description:
Memory is an important aspect of Tom Duncan's mixed-media polychrome sculpture--but much of that memory is about fear. "Wild Dog in a Bomb Shelter" tells a harrowing story from Duncan's World War II childhood in Scotland. In Tom Duncan's studio visit, he discusses this work. "Wild Dog in a Bomb Shelter" is a box-type construction with an interior light. As in the work of many outsider artists, narrative is an essential feature of Tom Duncan's mixed-media polychrome sculpture. Read interview with artist Tom Duncan at Biddington's Creative Process.
