WITHDRAWN FROM SALE. (DCK) "Handstand" is a perfect sculpture for the collector who enjoys forms related to movement, athleticism and the dance. This exuberant figure is part of a series of bronze acrobats by Austrian born, American expressionist sculptor Chaim Gross (1904-1991). A delightful, small scale bronze, this sculpture is suitable for a tabletop, mantlepiece or free-standing pedestal. Without the removable wooden base, this metal figure would also be appropriate as an garden sculpture or terrace ornament for an intimate outdoor space.
