Description:
For the past several years, Mary Teresa Giancoli has been documenting the culture of the Mexican community--both in Mexico and in New York City--in photographs. Mexican rituals, Mexican festivals and Mexican foods are her subject matter. In this black and white print, the focus is the plump, traditional bread called "pambazos" from Doña Hilda's kitchen in New York. Giancoli shoots in natural light with a twin lens box camera. Giancoli prints her photographs in limited editions of 20 or fewer. View all available works by Giancoli. Visit Mary Teresa GIANCOLI's studio. |
