Description: "Mingus II" is a figuratively-inspired welded steel sculpture incorporating a tightly-organized, grid structure. As this sculpture's title suggests, Richard Heinrich finds an affinity between jazz and art--their internal rhythms and compositional elements. Sculptures by Richard Heinrich are on view in the collections of Grounds for Sculpture (Hamilton, NJ) and The Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). Richard Heinrich is also represented in collections including: Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, PepsiCo, General Electric, Chemical Bank and American Express.

The scale of this artwork makes it suitable for an ample interior space or for an exterior site. Remember: Like a person, a sculpture energizes the area around it. So, this artwork requires considerably more space than its footprint might indicate. Depending on the sculpture's destination, there may be an additional shipment charge in excess of that calculated at checkout. Of course, we confirm all such charges in advance of any billing.
