SOLD. "Orchard" by artist Harry Gordon is a sculpture carved from a single piece of cherry wood. As with many of Gordon's works in wood, this sculpture is figurative in inspiration. Gordon is known for his skill is letting the material speak foritself. In "Orchard", Gordon features both the dynamic form and the rich color of the wood using a smooth, oiled finish. Noted New York art dealer Andre Emmerich wrote for a Gordon exhibit catalogue: "Some of the most powerful and evocative art being produced by the rising generation of younger sculptors is that of Harry Gordon."
