Books "Old London Cries" (1885) "Badminton" (1882)  This lot includes two 19th century British publications:"Old London Street Cries (and the cries of today)" by Andrew W. Tuer, published 1885, Field & Tuer, The Leadenhall Press (London). This small book is illustrated with woodcut prints--one of wh ich is colored--and ties shut. Of special interest are the title page which reads in small print: "Rights Reserved: Wrongs Revenged!" and of course that timeless London cry p.53: "Stinking Shrimps!" The second item in the lot is: "The Games of La wn-Tennis and Badminton" by "Cavendish" author of "The Laws and Principles of Whist". Fourth edition, Thomas de la Rue & Co. ( London) 1882.
