Pop Art Print "Door" John Clem CLARKE  "Door to the Sea" by John Clem Clarke is a typically witty image by this Pop artist who fuses photo-realist & illustration techniques with Pop imagery. The print is pencil-signed and numbered from a very limited print edition of only 5. The printi s taken from a maquette--a working model from which Clarke makes his large paintings. So, it has the freshness of a work in process. The maquette is "retired" by snipping off a corner after the print edition is run. Richard MOCK Linocut Print "Kansas"  "Kansas" lithograph by Richard Mock. The Kansas Board of Education's decision to teach only creationism in the the schools roused many from their summer 1999 lethargy. A bill in the Kansas legislature in summer 2000 seeks to right that folly. Notede ditorial illustrator Richard Mock responded with this marvelous image of an American Gothic ape tending anxious chickens. This limited edition (44 impressions) is pencil signed, numbered and titled by the artist. The image is black ink on whitepa per. Image size 16" X 19" on large (23" X 30") sheet.
