Lisa DINHOFER "Losing My Marbles #15" This mixed-media print relates to illusionist painter Lisa Dinhofer's 90 foot marbles mural for the New York City MTA subway station at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue to be unveiled May 2003. "Loosing My Marbles #15" starts with an etching plate for the checkerboard, then the individual marbles are color-printed and collaged onto the base; the shadows and reflections are hand colored by the artist in gouache and watercolor. So, while the work is called an editioned print of 20, each work is handmade with significant variations. View detail. Lisa Dinhofer's work is included in major collections including New York Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, IBM and Pfizer. Visit the Soho studio of illusionist painter Lisa Dinhofer.
