Richard HEINRICH Grid Drawing Goldleaf This goldleaf and paintstick drawing by Richard Heinrich is entitled "Black and Gold, Four". Much of sculptor Richard Heinrich's work is based on a theme-and-variations akin to the musical structure in Bach or bebop. In his extensive series of grid drawings, Heinrich experiments with subtle weightings and repetitions of the essential structural elements. To put down the sharp, gold lines, the artist devised his own tool.
