Description: In an impressive career as an artist and illustrator, Joan Berg Victor has made portraits of corporate CEO's and heads of state for leading business publications including: "Forbes", "Fortune", "The Wall Street Journal" as well as "The New York Times". "People always remark that I'm a very kind portraitist," says the artist. Joan Berg Victor has a talent for infusing her portraits with vitality, so that the portrait shows not only a realistic depiction of a face but also the personality and energy of her subject.|
Typically a portrait commission is a life-size pencil and watercolor artwork on paper. Joan Berg Victor draws from photos but, when possible, the artist also likes to meet her subject. Portraits may be traditional and dignified--as might be suitable for an executive's portrait--or rather informal such as the casual poses of these twin teenage girls.
